This is a meme that came up when I googled “feminist meme”.
This means that women who have triggers are associated with a negative view of what it means to be a feminist.
Not only am I extremely hurt by this but shocked. Many women who as assaulted, or go through some sort of trauma become activists in their life to try to prevent what happened to them happen to so many others.
The fact that this is a joke makes me extremely hurt. The fact that someone could make a joke out of mental health triggers just shows how some people will go extremely low, even to those who have experienced hardship.
What we need is more compassion, more understanding, less jokes, less hostility.
