This TED talk is about how the culture and the actual text differ from the true message of the Quran. It is interesting to point out that many people outside of Islam also don’t have any true working knowledge about the faith and go by speculation or what people have told them. It is true that there is a cultural situation that puts women at risk but it isn’t explicitly the religion to blame.
