The World Bank conducted a study that found out just how much global economics are affected by gender inequality in earnings. Inequality in pay means a decrease in human capital wealth by 21 percent. Women in many countries are not receiving the same education as males and are kept behind in the pay gap. The lack of education keeps women from gaining higher positions and better pay in jobs. Children of these women are also affected by the lack in wages in education as they face the risk of being malnourished and early death. The loss of human capital due to inequality is undeniable. Difficult but possible changes can be made in the world to improve the inequality women receive in earnings. Steps should be made to improve the inequality of education first so that women can have the same choices a men when it comes to jobs. Education is a major factor that keeps women from earning the necessary tool to improve inequality.
