In this story, Lily is ready to take on her new school armed with her imagination and her special cat mask. What will she do when her teacher says no masks are allowed in class?

This whimsical book is perfect for Father’s Day, back to school, and even Halloween. Lily and her smiling cat mask are sure to make you smile right back!

Starting Up: When you read the title, point to Lily and her mask. Where is Lily? What is she doing?

Reading the Story: Discuss why the teacher makes Lily put the mask away during class.

After the Story: Try making animal masks with you child. Draw an animal face on a paper plate or piece of cardboard. Add strings or elastic to hold it in place.
