Drawing on her Distance Learning studies in Instructional Technology at MSITE, Tabitha Bailey has been helping Students Engage, Develop, and Grow with eLearning (The EDGe) at Stanly Community College. The EDGe is designed to increase students’ technological, self-efficacy, and communication skills to help students be successful in online, hybrid, and web-assisted classes, and beyond. Tabitha Bailey and Rita Love recently presented their work at the Annual Conference of the North Carolina Community College Association (NC3ADL). They discussed the EDGe, the limited open online course at its core, and the initial impact it is having on students.
