We are proud to announce that ECU Political Science Alum, Troy Nance (BA Political Science, second major Multidisciplinary Studies: Security Studies, May 2018) graduated from The University of Akron School of Law in May 2021!
U of A Law posted the following about Troy’s future plans: North Carolina native Troy Nance is relocating to Northeast Ohio after his time at Akron Law, “After being here 3 years and seeing all that Northeast Ohio has to offer, my wife and I are staying here a little while longer! In my free time this summer while studying for the bar, you can find me going on walks with our new puppy, Bella and playing tennis!” During his time in law school, Troy completed 250 pro bono service hours volunteering with the Akron Municipal Court, local campaigns, and food banks. Troy also served as a mediator during his time in law school. His favorite memory was putting on his final trial for Trial Advocacy 1, and he also served as a 2L and 3L Class Representative for the SBA, a member of the Legal Animal Defense Fund, and Treasurer of the Moot Court Honor Society. After taking the bar in July, Troy will be returning to work as a Judicial Attorney for the Honorable Ron Cable ’00 at Akron Municipal Court.
