DEPT. OF POLITICAL SCIENCE STATEMENT OF SOCIAL MEDIA NON-PARTISANSHIP
The other day we posted a quote from Ronald Reagan which we believed was a inspirational, regardless of who said it. There were some comments made in response, seemingly based on who he was, what he advocated, and so forth. This is fine. That’s is absolutely fair in the social media environment.
However, let us state, just for the record: We are striving to be completely non-partisan in our posts, not favoring (or disfavoring) any particular side, point of view, etc.
ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY, SEPT. 22, 1862: Lincoln Issues Emancipation Proclamation
FROM HISTORY.COM: “On September 22, 1862, President Abraham Lincoln issues a preliminary Emancipation Proclamation, which sets a date for the freedom of more than 3 million enslaved in the United States and recasts the Civil War as a fight against slavery.”

There’s still time to add a 2nd block course, which starts Oct. 11 and ends Nov. 29.
All of these courses are asynchronous online courses.
The last day to sign up for one of these classes is Fri., Oct. 13, at 5:00 pm.
The tricky part: Students CANNOT do this themselves. Avdisers must do so by sending an email to the registrar with student name, Banner ID, and the course to be added (include CRN if possible).
