Tactile Communication Strategies

Tactile communication strategies support the receptive and expressive communication needs of learners with deafblindness. Tactile examples include objects, tangible symbols, textured symbols, and signs. Learners with deafblindness need considerable input and experience with tactile communication strategies during highly motivating, contextual opportunities to attach meaning.
