This is to notify everyone that we’ve completed the migration of BDEV to the new hardware and upgraded it to Oracle version 19c. We have also pointed all of the Banner application tiers, including Admin Pages, SSB 8, SSB 9, Workflow, and Degreeworks, to the new BDEV location. So if you access any of the application tiers for BDEV, it will be connecting to the new BDEV database.
Lastly, if you use the tnsnames file located on Piratedrive for your Oracle connections, the BDEV entry has also been migrated to the new DB. A new entry called BDEV_OLD points to the old BDEV DB.
Old BDEV DB will remain up and available for reference, with no application infrastructure attached to it. We will begin performing the bi-weekly BDEV refresh in the new BDEV, so the data there will be kept up to date.
