Dr. Stephanie Richards gave a podium presentation on the research study titled “Regional Survey of Public Mosquito Control Knowledge and Usage in North Carolina” during the 2016 51st North Carolina Mosquito and Vector Control Association (NCMVCA) Annual Conference held from November 14-16, 2016 at Carolina Beach, NC.  This study aimed to assess the knowledge and usage of mosquito control in NC communities, and the extent to which differences exist in communities in different regions, socioeconomic status and development types, and mosquito-borne disease risk.  Dr. Richards also co-authored 2 presentations titled “What’s Going on in North Carolina? Getting a Handle on Mosquito Control Capacity” and “Overview of the North Carolina Survey of Mosquitoes”.
