Dear Miss Liza,
Merry New Year! (That’s a line from my favorite Christmas movie… Trading Places!) I love this time of year. In fact… ”It’s the most wonderful time of the year!” Family, friends, gifts, packages, trees, singing Christmas songs, attending Christmas plays, lights… I just love it! Can I get you a gift this year and do you have any advice for this Christmas season?
Adelina
Adelina,
Don’t buy me a gift this year! I still have the gift you gave me last year… the “fruit cake”, remember? And I can’t thank you enough… really! I threw a piece of the fruit cake to our dog and he threw it back! So no fruit cake this year. The only advice I have for you is to please recycle the Christmas tree, bows, lights and other waste. Use old newspapers to wrap the gifts this year! Tell your friends that you’re Reducing, Reusing & Recycling for Christmas… especially paper and plastics. I reuse my Christmas bows from last year and made a poster from last year’s Christmas cards. The benefits of recycling: energy conservation, resource conservation, and pollution abatement. Contact the City Waste Management & Recycling Center for details on pickup. Have a Merry New Year yourself! (I saw the movie too! Real funny!)
Merry Christmas!!! Bye!
Miss Liza
