ECU celebrated “Earth Day” (April 22) by holding various activities last week during the “Protect the Pirate Nation – Earth Day 2017” from April 19 – 23, 2017. These activities included the following:
- Hammock Hangout Movie: Tapped
- Adventure @ Barefoot on the Mall
- Paper/ Electronic Recycling
- Donate to Give and Go
- Bike Blender & Bike Repair (Peddle Your Own Smoothie)
- Make Your Own Flower Pot
- Tar River Beekeepers
- Reuse Craft Station
- Paddel & Clean the Tar River (with ECU Adventure Program)
- Paint the Drain, a service project with Love a Sea Turtle (LAST)
ECU students taking the EHST 2110 (Introduction to Environmental Health) course joined in this Earth Day celebration by attending any of these activities and taking “selfies” in it. Go Pirates! Aaarggh!!!
