DrPH-EOH Candidate Defends Dissertation on Agricultural Heat Stress

Danielle Dillane, a Doctor of Public Health – Environmental and Occupational Health (DrPH-EOH) candidate, successfully defended today her dissertation titled, “Accuracy of Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) Obtained from Regional Weather Station Data for Agricultural Settings in Eastern North Carolina as Proxy for WBGT Obtained from Local Heat Stress Monitors”. Dr. Jo Anne Balanay (ECU Environmental Health [EH] Professor) serves as her dissertation committee chair. Her other committee members are Dr. Greg Kearney (ECU Department of Public Health [DPH]), Dr. Paul Vos (DPH) and Dr. Jamie DeWitt (ECU Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology).
