EH faculty, Dr. Charles Humphrey, with ECU students, attended and presented at the NC Onsite Water Protection Conference in Raleigh, NC from October 16-18, 2018. Dr. Humphrey presented his research titled “Reduction of Fecal Bacteria Concentrations by an Engineered Reactor and Natural Wetland” on October 16.  PhD student, Guy Iverson presented on nutrient treatment of an in-stream bioreactor receiving drainage from onsite wastewater systems, while DrPH student, Caitlin Skibiel presented on nutrient dynamics from four large on-site septic systems in Eastern NC on October 17.
