EH faculty, Drs. Jo Anne Balanay and Stephanie Richards, and DrPH student, Danielle Carter, were informed this week that they will be receiving pilot funding for 2 separate research projects through the Southeast Center for Agricultural Health and Injury Prevention (SCAHIP) during this 2018-2019 cycle. The amount of $11,999 will be awarded to each of the following projects:
- “Reliability of Mobile Apps as Alternative Exposure Assessment Methods for Heat Stress and Solar Ultraviolet Radiation in Agricultural Settings in Eastern North Carolina” – Dr. Jo Anne Balanay (lead PI) and Danielle Carter (co-PI)
- “Risk Assessment for Arbovirus Exposure at Horse Farms in North Carolina” – Dr. Stephanie Richards (PI)
