EH Students Present at the ECU Research and Creative Achievement Week (RCAW) 2019

MS Environmental Health and Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) – Environmental and Occupational Health (EOH) students presented their research studies during the ECU Research and Creative Achievement Week (RCAW) on April 1, 2019 at the new ECU Main Campus Student Center.  The following students (underlined names) gave their research presentations:

  • Gabriel Beattie-Sergio and Greg Kearney – “Combining Environmental Assessments and Social Determinants of Health Screening to Help Improve the Health of Low-Income, Eastern North Carolina Families with Children with Asthma” (graduate poster presentation)

  • David Wambui and Greg Kearney – “Prevalence of Asthma Among Hispanic Child Farmworkers in North Carolina” (graduate poster presentation)
  • Avian White and Stephanie Richards – “New Espirito Santo Virus Inhibits Replication and Spread of Dengue Virus in Mosquitoes” (graduate poster presentation)
  • Natalie Cataldo and Stephanie Richards – “Assessment of Insecticide Resistance to Organophosphates and Pyrethroids in Aedes aegypti (Diptera: Culicidae)” (graduate online presentation)
