MS Environmental Health Student Receives the AEHAP Student Research Competition Award 2020

MS Environmental Health student, Adam Vang, was selected as a 2020 Association of Environmental Health Academic Programs (AEHAP) Student Research Competition (SRC) winner for his research titled “A Comparison of Commercial and Laboratory-Treated Permethrin Clothing on Total Content, Surface Content of Permethrin”. Dr. Stephanie Richards served as his faculty preceptor. AEHAP sponsors the Student Research Competition (SRC) to highlight important environmental health research being conducted by students enrolled in National Environmental Health Science and Protection Accreditation Council (EHAC) accredited environmental health degree programs.

As an SRC winner, Adam received a $1000 scholarship and will be given the opportunity to attend next year’s National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) 2021 Annual Educational Conference (AEC) and Exhibition in Spokane, Washington.  This is the 7th year that a graduate student from our Environmental Health Program wins this award.  Congratulations, Adam!
