Dear Miss Liza,

You will not believe what I found in my favorite game time food (that is, Italian sausage sandwich with green onions and spicy mustard). Our team usually wins when I order it at halftime. This time, I found a tooth in my sandwich! Our team still won the game 34-12…the sandwich was still good (don’t judge me)… and I now have a “lucky tooth”. No more Italian sausage sandwiches for me! I’ll just carry this tooth! Have you ever heard of such a thing?

Dear Taylor,

You are right… I ain’t never heard of finding somebody else’s tooth and keeping it for luck. That’s another person’s tooth! It wasn’t lucky for the person who lost it, why should it be lucky for you? Come on, man!!!

On a food safety note, don’t eat food with a tooth on it.  As always, make sure there’s proper handwashing and food preparation at the food stands. Oftentimes, these are volunteers with minimum food safety training.

Bye!!! You still ate the sandwich!
