Danielle Carter (DrPH EOH student) and Jarrod Underwood (MS Environmental Health student) each presented a poster at the NC Onsite Water Protection Conference held today in Raleigh, NC. They both represented and won awards in the student poster competition. Danielle presented on groundwater levels beneath onsite systems in response to Hurricane Florence and won 2nd Place. Jarrod presented on his master’s research on the efficacy of a natural wetland to treat pollutants from residential septic systems and won 3rd Place.
