Environmental Health (EH) faculty, Dr. Charles Humphrey and Dr. Stephanie Richards are promoted to the rank of Full Professor effective today.

Dr. Humphrey has been teaching and conducting research at East Carolina University (ECU) since 2009. His expertise is on water quality and wastewater management. His research focuses on onsite wastewater systems, pollutant transport through groundwater and surface water, stormwater management, and land use impacts on water quality.

Dr. Richards, who is also the MS Environmental Health Graduate Program director, has been with ECU since 2011. Her expertise is on medical entomology. Her research focuses on vector biology, mosquito-virus interactions, vector competence, mosquito control and insecticide resistance.
