Dr. Charles Humphrey gave a presentation titled “Challenges in On-Site Wastewater” during the 5th Annual Environmental Health Symposium 2022 held from July 28-29, 2022 at the New Bern Convention Center in New Bern, NC. Dr. Humphrey joined other environmental health professionals and practitioners in North Carolina in presenting lectures and conducting workshops on relevant environmental health topics, such as mental health, food safety, and onsite water protection.

The ECU Environmental Health Sciences (EHS) Program also had the opportunity to promote our degree programs and certificate to the conference attendees through a reserved booth at the New Bern Convention center. Many of the attendees were graduates of the ECU BS or MS Environmental Health degree programs, who are now working as environmental health professionals in various parts of North Carolina.

This symposium was organized and offered by the North Carolina Environmental Health State-of-Practice Committee (NCEHSOP).
