The NC Attorney General, Josh Stein, recently announced that Dr. Guy Iverson received $175,001 as part of the Environmental Enhancement Grant Program to preserve natural resources and ensure clean air and drinking water in eastern North Carolina. His award titled, “Mitigating Nutrient Loads from a CAFO in the Cape Fear River Basin” will study the impact of an engineered practice to mitigate the environmental impact of a concentrated animal feeding operation (CAFO).
