East Carolina University hosted fun educational events at Stateside Elementary School on March 29, 2023 and at Hertferd County Schools for the AIG (Academically or Intellectually Gifted) Student Group on April 5, 2023. The ECU Environmental Health Sciences (EHS) program participated in this event by preparing some mosquito identification (ID) activities using a microscope, a dish of mosquitoes and an ID key to identify mosquitoes of North Carolina and the Mid-Atlantic states for an environmental health (EH) interactive activity. This EH activity was prepared by EH faculty, Mr. William Hill, Dr. Stephanie Richards and Dr. Avian White.
