Mr. William Hill gave a talk titled “Thinking about Getting a Tattoo during Spring Break? Body Art and Infectious Diseases” today during the Public Health Seminar series. More than 40 ECU BS Public Health students attended his talk, wherein Mr. Hill discussed about bloodborne pathogens and training for tattoo artists. He also covered the history of tattooing and metals used in body piercing. The environmental health practices and procedures necessary to minimize or prevent the transmission of infectious diseases were discussed throughout the lecture.
