Environmental Health Students Present at the ECU Research and Creative Achievement Week (RCAW) 2024

MS and BS Environmental Health (MSEH / BSEH) students presented their research studies today during the ECU Research and Creative Achievement Week (RCAW).  The following students presented their research posters:

  • Bridget Angol (MSEH) – “Comparison between WBGT App Prototype and WBGT Monitor to Assess Heat Stress Risk in Groundskeeping in an Eastern North Carolina University Setting” (Mentor: Dr. Jo Anne Balanay)
  • Will Murray (MSEH) – “Development of Novel Compact Wind Tunnel for Testing Efficacy of Insecticide Formulated Products in Mosquitoes” (Mentor: Dr. Stephanie Richards)
  • Lauren Garcia (BSEH) – “Novel Nano-antibiotic Inhibits Recurrent Pseudomonas aeruginosa Infections in Chronic Muco-obstructive Lung Diseases” (Mentor: Dr. Lok Pokhrel)
  • Camryn Landreth (BSEH) and Paige Brown (BS Biology) – “Preliminary Evaluation of Flood Control and Treatment of Total Suspended Solids by Detention Basins in Greenville, NC” (Mentor: Dr. Guy Iverson)
  • Amy Fadelici (BSEH) and Natalie Martin (BS Fashion Merchandising) – “The Pirate Swap”
