MS Environmental Health alumna, Nicole Beck, presented the results of her pilot research study titled “Exposure to Heat Stress, Solar Ultraviolet Radiation and Other Occupational Health Hazards among Groundskeepers at East Carolina University” at the Annual Deep South Center Research Symposium on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Opelika, AL.  Her research was funded in 2015 by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) through the Deep South Center for Occupational Health and Safety when she was a graduate student in the ECU MS Environmental Health Program.  This research symposium is the venue for pilot project grantees to share the results of their funded research projects.  Nicole currently works as a Public Health Specialist at the Oklahoma State Department of Health, Anadarko, OK.
