Environmental Health students and faculty joined other undergraduate and graduate students and faculty from East Carolina University in presenting posters on their research during the National Public Health Week on April 6, 2017 at the ECU Carol Belk Building lobby. The following EH students presented their posters:
- Nwanne Agada, MS Environmental Health student – “Evaluation of Different Methods to Assess Duration of Effectiveness of Permethrin-Treated Clothing against Aedes albopictus and Aedes aegypti Mosquitoes After Repeated Washing”
- Justin Bunn, MS Environmental Health student – “Impact of Barrier Sprays on the Spatial Distribution of Mosquitoes in a Suburban Neighborhood in Eastern North Carolina”
- Rene Vanek, BS Environmental Health student – “Assessment of Exposure to Volatile Organic Compounds during 3D Printing in a Laboratory at East Carolina University”
- Avian White, MS Environmental Health student/ EH Lab Personnel – “Insecticide Susceptibility Testing of Culex and Aedes Mosquitoes in the United States”
In addition, Drs. Stephanie Richards and Jo Anne Balanay also had a poster displayed titled “Residual Effectiveness of Permethrin-Treated Clothing for Prevention of Mosquito Bites under Simulated Conditions”.
