Dr. Jo Anne Balanay was invited to give a presentation today at the 3rd Quarterly Meeting of the Southeastern Environmental Health District (SEEHD). She virtually presented her recent research on heat stress titled, “Comparison between OSHA-NIOSH Heat Safety Tool App and WBGT Monitor to Assess Heat Stress Risk in Agriculture” to environmental health professionals. Dr. Balanay joined presenters from NC Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) and NC State University (NCSU) Cooperative Extension.
The SEEHD is an educational district of the Environmental Health Section of the North Carolina Public Health Association (NCPHA). It is an association of Environmental Health Specialists, Environmental Health Specialist Interns, Soil Scientists, and others and is organized and operated to promote greater public health benefits through good environmental practices in North Carolina.
