Dr. Stephanie Richards gave an oral presentation today at the Brunswick County Mosquito Control Program’s Ultra-Low Volume (ULV) Calibration Workshop in Bolivia, NC. Her presentation was titled, “Selecting Products for Adulticide Applications: A Discussion of Testing Resistance for Both Pest and Disease Mosquitoes”. This is the fourth consecutive year that Dr. Richards have been invited to give a presentation at this workshop.
This type of practical outreach/training presentation strengthens relationships with mosquito control operators across NC. Representatives from several eastern NC mosquito control programs, NC Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS)/Division of Public Health, and pest control industry partners were also in attendance. The workshop is a 2-day training course, held from April 26-27, 2023, offered to all mosquito personnel in NC.
