The Sensorimotor Testing and Rehabilitation (STAR) Lab is located on the main floor within the Department of Physical Therapy at ECU in the Health Sciences Building in room 1445e.
Researchers in this lab see to minimize the impact of injury and movement disorders on health outcomes and participation through the analysis of postural control, sensorimotor function, neural processing using a combination of innovative technologies.
This contemporary 1000 ft2 lab space allows assessment of both static and dynamic postural control, sensory, vision, vestibular and somatosensory function, sensory integration and central nervous system processing. The STAR Laboratory houses a Qualisys 3D motion analysis system (8 cameras) integrated with a NeuroCom dynamic force plate system that is capable of providing multi-directional perturbations. [image]
