Dr. Jo Anne Balanay was invited to share her published research during her podium presentation at the North Carolina Acoustical Society of America (NC ASA) 50th Anniversary Meeting at Durham, NC on May 6, 2016. The research she presented entitled “Attitudes toward Noise, Perceived Hearing Symptoms, and Reported Use of Hearing Protection Among College Students: Influence of Youth Culture” was published in the Noise and Health Journal in 2014.
