The European Parliament is pushing for Uganda to decriminalized homosexuality after the murder of David Kato a month ago. David was a homosexual who fight against the passage of a bill in 2009 that criminalized homosexual acts. The European Parliament views this as being a human rights violation, and they want the Uganda government to protect homosexuals, whereas, religious leaders are viewing homosexuality as part of the Western culture they do not want to embrace. The government police are framing David’s death as happening because he did not pay for sex he had with a male prostitute.
