Student, Dywer, has a conversation with boat captain, Don Manuel, to find out about his boats.

Public Outreach

This project is taking two approaches to public outreach:

1) Through local educational talks and conversations with the community we plan to study the interface between maritime culture and the peoples of Cauhita, Puerto Viejo, and Punta Uva. This will, hopefully, encourage appreciation of the resources and help us give our research back to the community.

2) This website, social media platforms, and professional papers and presentations will also allow us to share our research and love of maritime culture, archaeology, and history with a broader audience.
