Accepting applications for Undergraduate Research (BME-SIM)

We are hosting an NSF-funded REU site on Biomedical Engineering in Simulations, Imaging, and Modeling (BME-SIM) here at ECU. Applications for Summer 2021 are now open!

The summer program will take place from May 15th – July 24th on-campus.  Program participants will receive a $6,000 stipend, on-campus housing, meal plan, travel to the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) annual meeting, and reimbursement of travel funds (dependent on need). Rising juniors and seniors, students from underrepresented groups, veterans, and students from academic institutions with limited research opportunities are encouraged to apply.  Applications from community college students who are transitioning to four-year institutions or within a semester from transferring are also encouraged to apply. Qualifications include US Citizen or permanent resident, major in engineering, basic sciences, math, computer science or related disciplines, and strong academic record.
