TITLE: Events Intern
REPORTS TO: Member Services Director
GENERAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Event Management
SKILLS REQUIRED: Excellent verbal and customer service skills; time management skills, telephone etiquette; writing skills; Typing and Computer use; Microsoft Word & Excel.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Organize registrations for events.
Create flyers for events.
Maintain and organize information pertaining to events and communicate to staff and membership.
Responsible for bringing all event materials to event (signage, registration, name tags, board tags, etc).
Assist appropriate staff member with the planning of upcoming events (Annual Dinner, Community Safety Awards Dinner, ECU Merchant’s Fair, Business Bites Seminars, Small Business Awards Breakfast, Business Expo, Live Healthy Greenville, etc.).
Assist with meetings as requested such as making copies, refreshments, reminder calls to meeting participants and other related duties.
Promote Events Via Social Media Outlets such as Facebook.
Assist with mailings for Events.
Attend Committee Meetings and take minutes for Events.
Take photos at events and add to website and Facebook.
Update all event information on website.
Perform other duties as assigned by other Staff members.
**Internship available for Junior and Senior level students seeking course credit.**
