The Charleston RiverDogs are currently accepting applications for the 2011 RiverDogs internship program. The program gives interns a handson experience in the behind the scenes business of baseball.The program consists of Full Time interns and Gameday interns. Full Time interns will work in the office Monday through Friday, scheduled as needed for weekend events, and all gamedays. Gameday interns will work on gamedays only, arriving at the ballpark at three hours before the scheduled start time.Ideally, candidates would be available to begin their internship March 1 and work through the end of the season. There is also the possibility of preseason spring (January through May) positions.RiverDogs internships are nonpaying and may be used to earn credit through your college. Housing is available to those that require it. Box Office Assistant Community Relations Assistant Media Relations Assistant Merchandise Assistant Promotions Assistant Sales Assistant Rotating Intern (rotates between departments) Full Time interns will work along side full time staff members learing the intricacies of the job as well as work on individual projects and promotions. Regular office hours are expected and daily sales calls are required for all participants.
