The Center for Health Market Innovations (CHMI) is a global network of partners that seeks to improve the functioning of health markets in developing countries. CHMI works to accelerate the diffusion of health market innovations that lead to better health and financial protection for the poor.
The Results for Development Institute (R4D) established the Center for Health Market Innovations (CHMI) in mid-2009. It is a publicly accessible global knowledge platform consisting of a network of partners that collects, analyzes, and disseminates information about health market innovations in developing countries and facilitates the exchange of knowledge and the creation of strategic linkages among key stakeholders. CHMI’s primary stakeholder groups are implementers (governments, NGOs, and private companies), funders (donors and investors), global and national policymakers, and researchers/academics.
CHMI is centrally managed by R4D and relies on a broad network of in-country institutions and other formal and informal partners that collect and disseminate information; conduct analytical work and form and maintain partnerships and networks.
