BROADCAST/ELECTRONIC OPERATIONS
Students will be exposed to hands on work experience in the field of Broadcast/Electronic Operations. Students will assist the Broadcast Operations team with day to day technical operations. Prospective interns should have a clear desire to learn operational processes and procedures as they relate to the operations of a multi-channel cable network (i.e. networking, cabling, connections, and broadcast equipment)
Intern responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Provide departmental assistance
- Coordinate technical requests, running interdepartmental documentation, and filing.
- Provide technical assistance to engineering staff
- Extremely Tech Savvy.
- Strong interest in Engineering, Electronics and Technical Operations.
- Strong interest in the TV/Media/Entertainment industry preferred.
- Strong organizational skills are preferred.
- Candidate must be reliable and have good time management skills.
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize tasks sufficiently while working independently.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
Comcast Entertainment Group interns are unpaid and therefore must meet the following criteria:
· Enrolled in an Associate’s/Bachelor’s/Master’s program at an accredited college or university
· 18 years or older and current sophomore standing or above
· Able to provide proof of credit or a letter of support to receive academic credit from your college or university prior to starting assignment
· Able to work a minimum of 16 hours per week for at least 12 weeks between the months of January/Feb – April/May.
Candidates will be assessed on the following characteristics: a strong academic performance, community service, leadership experience, and a demonstrated interest in entertainment. |
