Purpose:
This internship is intended to improve networking and business to business marketing abilities through interpersonal communication skills. This opportunity will help the student understand business on a local and corporate level.
Description:
Aflac is a Fortune 500 company listed in the top 200. Aflac is the number one provider of voluntary supplemental benefits in the United States and Japan. Our Greenville district office operated by Lewis Gale, ECU alumni, is experiencing a lot of growth and is searching for excellent and motivated communication interns to aid in the demanding industry of supplemental insurance , as well as further develop their interpersonal communication and business networking skills.
The intern must be able to interact professionally with future agents and clients. The intern must be able to work un-supervised and stay productive when the situation arises. A working knowledge of word, excel, and powerpoint are required.
The intern will be responsible for making telephone marketing calls to prospective clients, assisting current clients with small issues, and helping to recruit new agents to grow results in the region.
Intern requirements:
- Junior or above status
- Professional
- Ethical
- Hard working
- Basic knowledge of word, excel, and powepoint
- Willingness to attend some networking events and help with job or career fairs
- Be able to work 6-12 hours per week
