Please Note: Students @ Work Internships paid at minimum-wage and structured to last approximately 12 weeks. Program dates are June 6th – August 12th. Course Credit is available. Resume and Cover Letter are required. Students should have a strong academic record (3.0 strongly preferred). Students must have completed their sophomore year in college prior to the start of the internship. In addition, students may not have graduated college or graduate school prior to the start of the internship (i.e. STUDENTS MUST BE ENROLLED IN SCHOOL DURING THE TIME OF THIS INTERNSHIP). Students seeking college credit are strongly encouraged to apply. Note to International Students: All international students will be required to provide documentation of proper visa paperwork prior to your arrival if accepted to the program. Due to the high volume of candidates for Turner’s Internship Program, interested students are encouraged to apply for openings as soon as possible, as these positions will be filled on an ongoing basis. Department:
TBSLA Acquisition department acquires broadcast rights for all Turner Latin America networks. The acquisition staff negotiates terms of the license including broadcast dates, delivery of content, as well as cost. Acquisitions works directly with network programming departments to determine appropriate content to license, finance to monitor network budgets for acquisitions, and content delivery to ensure timely delivery of broadcast materials.
Potential Opportunities:
The intern will learn about the entire cycle of a broadcast acquisition, but will concentrate on the planning portion of this cycle. Planning includes analysis of network budgets, sharing content across TBSLA networks, and determining what new content should be presented for licensing.
Qualifications:
Film, Theater or Television Major
Passion for films and television shows
Proficient in Excel
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
