The Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, a non-profit organization that sponsors independent reporting projects on under-reported issues and regions around the globe, is offering a paid summer internship in its Washington, D.C. office. Internship pays $1,000 per month.
The intern’s main duties will include:
- outreach to further engagement on global systemic issues and increase viewership of international reporting
- use social networking sites, online blogs and other new media strategies to reach broad audiences and increase online traffic
- maintain website, online profiles and channels (including YouTube Channels)
- assist with event coordination and promotion
Not required but desirable: familiarity with HTML, familiarity with the blogosphere, and experience with increasing web traffic through campaigns such as Google Adwords and social networking sites. Applicants should also have an interest in, and some familiarity with, current international affairs.
