Bridging Nations

Advance your career and gain valuable real-world experience at an exciting and rapidly expanding non-profit!
Bridging Nations, a non-partisan policy and education organization, is seeking bright, motivated interns to start immediately for 3 month, 6 month, or longer term internships.
Bridging Nations will consider applicants from a wide variety of academic fields, to include but not limited to international relations, environmental studies, graphic design, computer sciences, communications, English, business, marketing, graphic design and many others. Projects are tailored to the interns’ individual strengths, in order to maximize their opportunities for professional growth and development.
Interns will work on the following programs:

  • Bridging Nations College of Energy, Environment, and Sustainability
    BN is launching its College of Energy, Environment and Sustainability, a program focusing on green energy technology and policy. Interns working on this program will help to organize the foundation of a higher education institution while gaining experience in marketing, web design, social media outreach, research, presentation skills, event planning, and alternative energy issues.
  • Bridging Nations Foundation:
    The policy division of Bridging Nations focuses on international affairs, specifically India-China-US relations. Interns will have a chance to research policy and events, as well as write about their research findings for short articles, newsletters, website posts, etc. Furthermore, interns will be able to participate in the research for and drafting of a book Bridging Nations will be publishing.

 
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have:

  • 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) or higher
  • Strong computer and organizational skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Applications
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Ability to multi-task and remain organized

Past Bridging Nations interns have gained experience in:

  • Research
    o Use library resources and the internet to research international relations topic
    o Research energy and environmental issues and policy
  • Marketing Skills & Public Relations
    o Media and web design
    o Forming and maintaining relationships within the industry, e.g. with professors or companies in the energy sector
  • Event Planning
    o Office/administrative tasks and procedures
    o Seminar management
    o Web conferencing

Start date and end date are flexible. Hours are approximately 20 to 40 hours per week during office hours (Monday through Friday 9 am to 5:30 pm).
