Undergrad/graduate students interested in educating about & promoting human rights & world citizenship are encouraged to apply for this 3 month, 15-20 hour (or more) per week internship (hours are flexible). PR Interns write to other organizations to inform them about the WSA and to consider potential partnerships. You will: update the WSA web site and oversee WSA’s email, newsgroup & listserv; research the press weekly to suggest human rights cases in which the WSA could intervene; research, & implement proposals for fundraising. Interns are encouraged to initiate new outreach & networking projects. If time allows, you will research & apply various human rights declarations & treaties to assist people around the world who contact us for assistance. Excellent communication skills & Internet fluency required. Multi-lingual ability is helpful. Interest or activism in peace, law & global politics is helpful.
