Communications Intern Needed
Organization Description:
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Pitt County serves more than 1,600 members from six to eighteen years of age. There are a total of five operations, including Farmville, the Dr. Ledyard E. Ross Unit in Ayden, the Jack Minges Unit in Winterville, and two units in Greenville: Grady White Boats/ER Lewis Family and Jarvis. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Pitt County strives to provide quality programs of education with a positive learning environment, instilling competence and confidence.  Great Futures Start Here! 
The Clubs’ many programs, designed especially for young people, are supported by the United Way of Pitt County, The Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and through state grants, foundations grants, and contributions by private individuals and corporations.

We are currently seeking a Communications Intern to assist the Board of Directors Marketing Committee with critical marketing elements to support the organizational marketing strategy.
Position Description:
Manage creation and distribution of semiannual newsletter
Write press releases for newsworthy activities and events
Populate web site with necessary information
Distribute information via social media
Work with local media (WITN-TV, The Daily Reflector, Achieve Magazine and others) to build local knowledge of Boys & Girls Club of Pitt County
Other duties and projects, as assigned
Skills and Attributes Required:
Excellent verbal communication skills
Exceptional written skills necessary
Ability to prioritize
Outstanding capacity for multi-tasking
Exceptional self-starter
Hours per week: Flexible
Work location: Minges Unit of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Pitt County, Fire Tower Rd.
