ECUPirates.com Student Assistant Positions
The Athletics Media Relations Office at East Carolina University, an NCAA Division I member of Conference USA,
announces two part-time student openings within its department for the 2011 fall sport season. The successful candidates
will assist the athletic media relations office with all of its audiovisual needs and will help film, edit and produce post-practice
and post-game interviews and highlights for the ecupirates.com website.
Preferred qualifications include knowledge of operational procedures for a variety of audiovisual and electronic equipment,
including video cameras (Panasonic P2HD, FlipCam), editing software (Final Cut Pro Premiere or Toaster) and Adobe
Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects). An ability to think creatively, evaluate, assess and troubleshoot situations along
with strong interpersonal skills, sports and social media knowledge (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube) and the ability to
effectively and efficiently communicate is required.
The desired candidates must have a flexible schedule to work all home football games as well as attend selected football
practices and other athletic events. Review of applicants will begin immediately and the positions will remain open until
