TITLE: Marketing Intern
 
REPORTS TO:  Vice President, Membership and Marketing
 
GENERAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:  Marketing, Events, Website Maintenance, Public Relations, Social Media
 
SKILLS REQUIRED:  Excellent verbal and customer service skills; time management skills, telephone etiquette; writing skills; Typing and Computer use; Microsoft Office
 
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist appropriate staff member with the promoting and planning of upcoming events (Annual Dinner, Community Safety Awards Dinner, ECU Merchant’s Fair, Small Business Awards Breakfast, Business Expo, Live Healthy Greenville-Pitt, etc.).
Assist with meetings as requested such as making copies, refreshments, reminder calls to meeting participants and other related duties.
Attend event Committee Meetings as assigned to.
Take photos at events and upload to Chamber’s Shared Drive and website.
Schedule Appearances and make reminder calls for Business Beat (Chamber’s Talk Show).
Manage Chamber’s Social Media Outlets; assist with developing strategy and executing tactics for successful social media function.
Assist with Website updates.
Create and send ChamberGram (Chamber’s semi-monthly e-mail to membership) and other event e-mails through Constant Contact.
Maintain Calendar of Events on Chamber’s Website.
Conduct Cost-of-Living survey for Greenville area. (ACCRA). Maintain community statistics and publish on website.
Assist with any marketing needs that may arise and perform other duties as assigned by other Staff members.
Assist with production needed materials for other divisions as needed to promote events and programs.
Write and edit news releases for the Greenville-Pitt County Chamber of Commerce.
Perform other Chamber duties as assigned by the VP of Membership and Marketing.
