The Dow Jones News Fund offers more than 80 paid summer internships in sports, multimedia and news copy editing and business reporting to college juniors, seniors and graduate students. Interns attend pre-internship training, receive some travel assistance and college scholarships after successful completion of the program.
Weekly salaries start at $350 at newspapers, news websites and news services throughout the nation for a minimum of 10 weeks. Participating news organizations include The New York Times, The Denver Post, The Pittsburgh Post Gazette and many others.
Applications must be submitted online in the College Internships section of the website, https://www.newsfund.org . The application deadline is Nov. 1. Winners are announced in December. Details and FAQs are posted on the site.
Skills:
All applicants must take a one-hour test, submit an essay, resume, transcript, and, business reporting interns must upload three to five recent clips.
