Our journalism internship in Ecuador, South America / Latin America is designed primarily for undergraduate or graduate students and beginning professionals who have an academic or professional background in some area of media communication, journalism or related fields and who seek to enhance their careers through specialized study in one or several selected areas. The purpose of this internships program is to provide students with the opportunity to gain professional experience in a journalism setting. Our internship program offers interns or students the opportunity to develop their skills, gain a deeper understanding of the professional context of journalism practice, and make connections with working journalists.
Journalism interns or students with majors or minors can work on newspapers, in the broadcast (TV. or radio stations), and on many magazines, as well as in agencies concerned with public relations. In short, our journalism internship program set you on the right track.

Internship Role
You will participate in the workaday routine of a news media company for the specified period, undertaking those tasks assigned to you and seeking to display initiative, enthusiasm, professionalism and a willingness to learn. Depending on your specialty and skills, you can work as a reporter, writing, editor, photographer, broadcaster, or graphic designer. Youll work side-by-side with the regular staff, gathering stories, researching, taking photos, writing pieces, going into the field, coming up with your own story ideas, projects, etc.

Qualifications
Although our opportunity is open to college students, undergraduate, recent graduate students and young professionals. No previous experience is mandatory although it could be very helpful. Nevertheless, an intermediate level of Spanish is required.
