Participates in a formal internship program with a duration of at least ninety days. Internship includes performing various assignments to become familiar with the organization and gain basic work experience. The primary function of the audit group is to determine if the company’s risk management, systems of control, and governance processes are adequate and functioning as intended. Working together, we reduce risk to protect our customers, our team members, and our communities to enhance shareholder value. This is a summer internship starting in late May and running until end of August. Interns hold the position of Audit Summer Intern and are involved in Audit Work. As an Audit summer intern you will: Learn the fundamentals of financial services, auditing, and risk analysis in classroom and project settings. Gain insight into the complex world of risk management through exposure to a variety of audit projects in multiple Wells Fargo businesses. Be placed directly on audit teams and execute audit work with our more seasoned auditors. Enjoy a high level of responsibility and accountability. Intern opportunities are available in our Charlotte, Des Moines, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, San Francisco and St. Louis Offices and interns may work on the following Audit Teams: Wholesale Banking, International, Treasury, Corporate Credit, Market Risk Home Mortgage, Consumer Finance, Credit Card, Compliance and Enterprise Risk Management Community Bank, Technology, Operations Wealth, Brokerage, and Retirement Services, Finance and Corporate Activities Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Wells Fargo will not sponsor visas for these positions, and will not hire individuals whose work eligibility is based on their F-1 or other student visa status. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis. Preferred Skills We Prefer: Successful candidates must demonstrate strong academic aptitude, distinguished written and verbal communication and presentation skills, exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, and proven ability to take on significant responsibility. Additionally, we prefer: Students pursuing a bachelors degree with academic distinction in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or Computer Science to be received by June 2013. Previous business/financial services work experience. Dedication to building a career in the financial services industry. A proven leader who demonstrates personal accountability and urgency for achieving results. |
