Sports Internship
at WKBW-DT in Buffalo
Sports interns at WKBW-DT help us as they help themselves get practical experience in broadcast journalism. Their responsibilities are not necessarily difficult, yet are important in putting a good product on the air. Duties typically include logging sporting events in the field or off television, finding footage or sound cuts off feed tapes or file tapes, assisting Sports Reporters in interviewing newsmakers, and editing videotape for sport files (not for broadcast). Additionally, interns participate in reviewing nightly sportscasts on WKBW-DT and its competitors. Interns will gain knowledge in what is required on a daily basis to put a quality sportscast on the air.
